A Brief History
In the early Fall of 2005, Bill Cummings and Kevin Samson met in Sri Lanka, having volunteered to assist
in the rebuilding process following the devastating tsunami of December 2004.
After being exposed to this experience, Bill and Kevin continued to meet and discuss methods of helping other people
around the globe in need.
After this trip and a subsequent visit to New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina, Changing Horizons was
born.
Our Location
Changing Horizons is headquarted in Montpelier, Vermont. We will set up satellite offices in the field as needed. Please

Our Founders
Bill Cummings

While preparing for his trip for Sri Lanka, Bill became acutely aware of the expenses involved in volunteerism, and committed
to removing financial obstacles for others on a similar path. In the past, Bill has spent 8yrs leading teenagers on wilderness
trips—a skill that translates well to taking groups into areas with limited resources. He is directing the US based
